Overview

RagChat is a free, embeddable AI chat widget. We believe in keeping your data yours. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it.

What we collect

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Documents you upload — PDFs, Markdown, and text files are stored in your project so we can embed and search them. They are never used to train public models.
• Embed chat logs — visitor questions, the retrieved passages, and the AI replies are logged so you can search, filter, export, and block abuse. Logs auto-delete after 7 days.
• Usage data — message counts, daily/weekly stats, and device fingerprints used only to enforce quotas and block abuse.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or monetize your data in any way.
• We do not train our models on your documents or conversations.
• We do not serve ads.

How long we keep it

Chat logs auto-delete after 7 days. Uploaded documents and embeddings persist for as long as your account is active. Delete a document and its embeddings are removed immediately.

Your rights

You may export or delete your data at any time from your dashboard. If you delete your account, all of your content is purged within 30 days.
